The writer is one of the most important people on a film production. The producer/director might say, "Ok we need this scene to be more emotional." The writer is the luckless bugger who has to sit in front of the blank computer screen and come up with that.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Obviously, whoever made that comment had absolutely no clue what he's talking about :&amp;gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;There's a writer, John August, who is manning the strike lines in LA. He writes about his experience on &lt;a href="http://johnaugust.com" rel="nofollow"&gt;johnaugust.com&lt;/a&gt;.
