Heh.. oh is that the real reason :P Reverse psychology, does it work? But i think even if you did put it, they would still find a reason to flame if they really really wanted to.

Nang if you like, dang if you don't. That's democracy I guess. I've seen this stuff happen over at Digg so perhaps this is the nature of the community? Or any community that's of this nature? I say stick to your own principles and be not bothered with what the rest do.

Most of the stuff I post in my blog are made up stories collected from other people's experience.
Well, I guess my writing style does reflect my personality but I'm reluctant to use my real name, and identity because I do not wish my work colleagues and future business partners to know that I own a blog. (Kif is just a made up guy and I try to attach a somewhat different personality to it. Its like an author trying to portrait the main character in a story and they do not have a common identity...Something like that)

Heya ping ping. Yeah i'm sure there are those who will try to be at the top. That's the part that becomes a bit addictive lol. I sometimes i find that top 10 thing is like a popularity thing, which takes out the fun of reading a good post. The whole point of where innit was a place to be where you can share your latest posts is becoming a playground IMO. And yeah, maybe I should be like you and diam-diam read and close of the windows.

I wanna rebut that actually.

From my understanding of why boys are addicted to playing games : DOTA, WOW, Maple (the cutesy one) because when you people (I won't say boys because i know girls play too) play there is some innate goal that you want to achieve. That's why games get addictive.

I saw my brother play Maple for countless of hours in to the morning. He played because he wanted to level up really really high which he did to the point a number of people actually knew that fella's nick. He was some crazed thing playing. Same with Dota, it's a case of competition, and for some to prove how 'skilled' they are. Or it's to get some item or armour (like how crazed i was to get some super great armour in Guild Wars).

As for blogging, in the end when people say they have a made up identity, I don't fully believe that statement. Because when you write, you are already letting people see your identity in a manner. May not be the full you, but the tone in which you write and how words come out will give people an impression of what this character is like. So saying that one is playing a made up identity to me anyway is not entirely true. Half the time, most bloggers I've seen (anyway) write about their lives, pretty much like all of us on Nuffnang. Unless of course they have some main theme. For eg:"how to make money" or "tutorials" or "creating an ecommerce".

For me an interesting blog read is about certain truths that we go through in our lives (which happened even in your posts, Kif - not unless those were 'made up ones').

Pinksterz.. lol yeah i know its an easier way to look out for each others blog. Which is why I'm also trying to find another way to keep up with everyone's blogs and best way is really through RSS/ google reader or whatever kind of reader.

And yes I remember the days of that silly stupid de-nang thing. Ish ish.. But at the same time i'm glad I met you and another "x" rated person haha.

Some may want to be top in the Innit because they have never tried it. I guess some are used to being top so they feel like damn waste time la. Try before already ma. Everyone is also like that. Let them be top for few times, they won't be bothered as well.

I've never been top la. I get most also 5 or 6 nangs. =P But aiya, if want to go flame people to get to top, very stupid lor. Why want to go here and there marah-marah? Although I do want to get to the top, if this time tak dapat, next time find more interesting post, innit again la. Haih, tembak people, those who agree with you, not like they will read your blog everyday, balik-balik, they read the one kena flame cause usually the one kena flame are a bit more famous already. Most people will diam-diam and read la. Like me, usually I diam-diam read, then close the window. No point.
