if you have x^2 = 4, where the ^ sign denotes power of. when you do a squareroot on x, you will get +2 and -2. if you have an equation of x^3, there are instances when you will get 3 different answers for x.
not to be geekly strict on maths, but juz to show that in the same analogy, there could be a few answers too in life. we still do have to choose the "most" suitable answer from the choices that present themselves to us... ;)

People wander through life asking "what's truth?" and especially in such a mediated world that we live in, the 'truth' has been fogged and is distorted. So, at times like these when we are confused, we have to come back to the God of truth to find the truth.
